De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) is a full-complement medical and health allied institution that provides holistic, excellent, and premium medicine and health professions education, health care, and research services in a nurturing God-centered environment as it pursues its commitment of Nurturing Life.
The Institute has three major services: medical and health sciences education, under Academic Services; healthcare through De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC); and medical research through the De La Salle Angelo King Medical Research Center.
As an educational institution, it currently offers a Special Health Sciences Senior High School, ten (10) undergraduate programs, and four (4) post-baccalaureate and graduate study programs. Additionally, it provides equal opportunities for education by granting scholarships to deserving individuals. Continuously striving for academic excellence, the Institute takes pride in the consistent outstanding performance of its graduates in licensure examinations.
DLSUMC is the largest tertiary hospital in Region IV-A which provides the advanced services and facilities for healthcare. It remains to provide quality and free medical services to thousands of financially challenged patients every year through its Service Outpatient Department, Service Intensive Care Unit, and Service Wards.
The De La Salle Angelo King Medical Research Center, now Level 3 accredited by the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board, provides clinical trials for FDA registration of food, drugs, and devices. It continues to be a trusted research institution and conducts the most number of clinical trials among private institutions in the country. It also became the first institution in the country to have been chosen by the US National Institutes of Health as a clinical research site for a global study. Most recently, it was selected by the Philippine Council for Health Research Development to implement a multi-million-dollar study on tuberculosis.
With its acquisition of an additional 9.448 hectares of adjacent properties, DLSMHSI is geared to make a leap in its strategic development efforts that include facilities such as the Academic Complex, Museum of the Human Body, Neurodevelopmental Center for Children, Birthing Home, Botanical Garden Park and Wellness Center, Chapel on the Hill, Conservatory for Alternative Medicine, Dormitory, Exercise Trail, Hospice Care for Abandoned Critically Ill and Dying Destitutes, Lawn Tennis Court, Plants and Trees Nursery, Pater Noster Healthcare Residence for Retired and Critically Ill Imus Clergy, Retreat and Conference Center, Seniors Assisted Living Healthcare Residences, Sewage Treatment Plant, Shrine of St. Padre Pio, and Shrine of the Holy Family.
