The Department of Pediatrics is one of the pioneering units of the DLSUMC since its inception in 1984. Today, the department is a dynamic, efficient, and stable organization committed to improving pediatric health care, providing competent teaching, and conducting and using relevant and valid research.
DLSUMC is recognized as a Level III training hospital by the Hospital Accreditation Board of the Philippine Pediatric Society. The Department of Pediatrics boasts a distinguished team of pediatricians, all certified members of the Philippine Pediatric Society, with subspecialty consultants recognized and certified by their respective societies. Additionally, the department initiated the Fellowship Program on Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics in January 2016.
