The Grants Acquisition and Management (GAM) assists researchers in identifying and obtaining financial support for their projects, both internally and externally. It serves as liaison between the researcher, the Institution, and the funding agency. 

GAM also assists in preparing grant proposals, securing supporting documents, budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with funding agency guidelines. Additionally, it manages grant applications, contracts, and agreements, including negotiating terms for commissioned and externally initiated research. 

The Department is also responsible for post-award management, overseeing budgeting, progress reporting, and addressing administrative issues throughout the project lifecycle.
