In 2014, DLSMHSI introduced the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BS MLS). Initiated by Dean Dr. Rolando M. Reyes, the proposal was officially approved by the Board of Trustees in 2013 after a feasibility study conducted since 2011. The establishment of the College of Medical Laboratory Science was prompted by the rising demand for medical laboratory professionals locally and abroad, recognizing the need for comprehensive clinical assessment. Accredited by CHED on May 16, 2016, the four-year program includes academic and clinical training, culminating in a one-year internship in accredited hospitals across CALABARZON and Metro Manila. In 2018, the college achieved a 98.68% passing rate in the Medical Technology licensure examination, ranking as the second top-performing school nationwide and earning recognition from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Continuously enhancing its program, the college updates its curriculum, expands hospital affiliations, supports faculty development, upgrades facilities, and fosters research partnerships with local and international institutions.
