DMQCP

The Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy (DMQCP), one of the eight degree-granting colleges of DLSMHSI, offers the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) program, a four-year baccalaureate degree program tailored for students pursuing careers in various dynamic fields of the pharmaceutical profession. The program received its ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance Certification on September 6, 2021, affirming the college’s commitment to harmonizing educational standards and ongoing quality improvement efforts to align with universities in the ASEAN region. Graduates of the program undergo comprehensive training leading to careers in community pharmacy and public health, hospital and clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology and manufacturing, pharmaceutical regulatory industry, drug discovery and development, and related pharmaceutical sciences.

In July 2018, DMQCP relocated to a new building donated by its major partner, Mercury Drug Corporation, boasting top-of-the-line laboratory equipment, lecture rooms, instructional laboratories, and facilities that complement its teaching and research operations. The College proudly celebrates its alumni's achievements in the Pharmacy Licensure Examination (PhLE), with the inaugural batch achieving a 100% passing rate in March 2019, ranking the College 1st among the top performing schools in Category B (with 15-49 examinees). Subsequent exams further solidified the College's reputation as a top-performing pharmacy school (ranked 4th in June 2021, 2nd in April 2022, 10th in November 2023), with consistent exemplary performance and three topnotchers produced within a short period (November 2021, April 2022 and April 2023 PhLE). This success is attributed to rigorous academic training, dedicated teachers, practical partners, and innovative initiatives.

Following the reorganization of graduate programs under the Graduate Studies in Medical and Health Sciences in 2023, the DMQCP now offers the Master in Public Health program. This program aims to enhance graduate students' capacity to pursue diverse career paths in public health, responding to the demand for more public health workforce in roles such as researcher, public health administrator, health economist, and health policy maker. The program was designed in accordance with the latest CHED Memorandum Number 15 s. 2019 (CHED, 2019)

Since 2014, DMQCP, has reflected the essence and values of pharmaceutical education and practice, which is richly embodied in its logo and its elements:

Positioned prominently at the center of the logo, the BOWL OF HYGEIA symbolizes healing, health, and the profession of pharmacy itself. It represents the nurturing aspect of pharmacists who care for individuals' well-being by compounding medications, offering patient counseling, promoting health awareness, and engaging in pharmaceutical sciences and research.

Encapsulating the Bowl of Hygeia, the GREEN CROSS is a universal symbol of pharmacies and healthcare services. It signifies hope, safety, and accessibility of pharmaceutical care to communities. The green color also represents vitality, growth, and nature, aligning with the holistic approach to health promoted by pharmacists.

Beneath the Bowl of Hygeia and the Green Cross, the LAUREL LEAVES symbolize achievement, excellence, and honor. In the context of pharmacy education, they signify the academic rigor, dedication, and scholarly pursuit embodied by students, faculty, and practitioners within the DMQCP.

The VIBRANT YELLOW GRADIENT BACKGROUND serves as the canvas that unites the elements of the logo. Yellow conveys energy, optimism, and enlightenment. The gradient adds depth and dynamism, symbolizing the progressive nature of pharmacy education and practice, as well as the diversity of experiences and perspectives within the field.

The logo combines timeless symbolism with a modern aesthetic, conveying the following core messages:
